We're thrilled to share that MOBY Robotics has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), a global leader in maritime classification and safety with more than 160 years of experience.

Under the MOU, ABS will support the development, certification and eventual classification of MOBY's autonomous subsea and surface systems, along with vessels designed for the transport of recovered minerals.

MOBY and ABS will also work together to define the standards and guidelines for autonomous marine robotics, helping establish clear pathways for deploying novel systems safely and responsibly.

This agreement marks a significant step as we prepare our platforms for deployment across critical minerals, maritime defense, and offshore infrastructure.
